4 Months Later…

Our time together feels timeless. I decided to fast forward a bit to give insight as to how our company came to manifest.

Mel and I had fallen in love. It wasn’t planned, but that’s how love goes. One minute you’re taking the walk of shame from an all nighter. Before you know it, you’re holding her hair and placing a damp rag on her head while she regurgitates into a bedside garbage can. True story by the way. I think it was the duck shots that did her in that night. It was also the night that she professed her love to me. We’d both been holding back from saying it, but alcohol has a way of overcoming inhibitions. It was incredibly romantic.

A few weeks later, we took a trip to the Blue Ridge mountains. While touring downtown, we stopped into a gift shop. We were looking at t-shirts and Mel mentioned that she always wanted to design them. C&M Authentic was born.

We spent the rest of the weekend brainstorming ideas about what we wanted to design. We’re both very diverse in our interests and thoughts. Our imaginations run wild at times with creativity. If you ever need a custom t-shirt designed, we’re your people.

We got home from our trip and got to work almost immediately. The design part came easy, but two generation X’ers navigating through the tech world is like watching two monkeys fuck a football.

One problem we discovered was acquiring new followers. I’ll tell you the pink thong story in my next blog. You’re definitely going to want popcorn…

Stay authentic my friends. Much love.

~Chris
